Youtube Launches “Superchat”

• Super Chat is a new Youtube feature aimed at helping creators make money while connecting with their fans during a live stream
• Allows fans to pay real money in exchange for attention.
• fans are able to highlight their message in a bright color, and have their comment pinned on the stream for up to 5 hours

Instagram brings Ads to Stories

• The unclickable five-second photo and 15-second video ads appear between different people’s stories and can be easily skipped
• Instagram will also provide business accounts with analytics on the reach, impressions, replies and exits of their Stories
• For now, Stories ads will be sold on a cost-per-1000-impressions basis and priced via auction, with any length of view counting as an impression

Twitter is Shutting Down Twitter Dashboard

• Twitter announced today it’s shutting down a feature called Dashboard, launched last summer
• The company says that Dashboard will be fully shuttered on February 3rd, 2017
• The product may not have had a large install base, which is why it was marked for shutdown

• Anyone on Twitter and Periscope can watch 360-degree live video, though currently only select partners can go live in 360 via Periscope
